Another Way to Preserve Freshness of Fruits & Veggies

Before you even think of throwing that empty Milo or Quaker Oats foil away, it may be worth your while to give this new tip a try. A friend shared with me that another way of preserving the freshness of fruits and veggies while in the fridge is to put them in a used aluminum coated bag (something like this:)

Don't fold or seal the opening of the bag, just leave it open and it will do the magic for you. Fruits and veggies stored this way can be kept fresh for a week, plus you'd be doing mother-earth a favor by using and recycling these foils instead of quickly putting them in the garbage bin.
